DAY: April 28th
TIME: 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
WHAT IS IT: A day where we bring in inner-city students to UTSA for presentations and tours facilitated mostly by current students (approximately a 100 students). The event is student planned and student ran. Lunch will be provided by the support of different vendors.

Instead of meeting tonight please meet at the Retama for the I AM TRAYVON MARTIN march at 6pm. If you're not familiar with the case Trayvon Martin was a 17 year old boy shot and killed on the way to a family member’s house, while coming back from the convenience store. All he had in hand candy and a drink when a neighborhood watch member deemed him as a "suspicious... character". So this semester we have planned the portion of the Black Education Project: "Bridging the Gap" to be on March 27th at the Downtown Campus. We will be having high school students from San Antonio join us for a showcase of UTSA and it's African American community. So we have decided to have meetings every other Monday of the month. This Monday February 8th (today) is our second meeting and the next will be held on the 23rd.
